Our Story

My name is Beate, and CleanKids Lab started at my own kitchen table, at the end of a very long stretch of not sleeping.

For the better part of a year, my child was not herself. The tummy aches came and went for no reason I could point to. Some nights she was up at two in the morning, uncomfortable and unable to settle. Her appetite was strange, her moods swung harder than they used to, and the little girl I knew felt like she was hiding somewhere behind all of it.

I did what every parent does. I went to the pediatrician. More than once.

Everything looked normal. It was probably a phase, or her age, or a sensitive stomach, or something she would grow out of. I wanted to believe that. But I was the one standing in her room at night, and phases do not usually keep you up for months.

So I started reading. Not the first page of results, the tenth. Studies, forums, the notes buried in old research that nobody links to.

What I found genuinely surprised me. Parasites are one of the most common and most overlooked things in childhood, far more ordinary than most parents are ever told. Any kid who shares a bathroom at school, plays in a sandbox, or forgets to wash their hands has been exposed. It has nothing to do with how clean your home is or how good a parent you are.

That last part is what changed everything for me. For months I had been quietly blaming myself. Learning how common this actually is did not just give me a lead to follow. It set down a weight I had been carrying without realizing it.

Then came the harder problem. What do you actually do about it, gently enough for a young child.

I kept landing on one plant. Sweet wormwood, and its active compound artemisinin, the discovery that earned a Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2015. The tradition behind it goes back centuries.

Here is the catch nobody mentions. Most of what is sold for kids is raw ground wormwood powder, which holds only a fraction of that active compound, and it is usually a bitter liquid a child will fight you on and spit right back out. A cleanse a kid refuses to finish is not a cleanse. It is a bottle in the cabinet.

I wanted three things that did not seem to exist together in one product. A standardized extract that was lab-tested for its active compound on every batch, so it was consistent instead of a guess. A full herbal blend that addressed the whole life cycle rather than leaving eggs behind to restart the problem, plus a binder to carry everything out gently. And a form my daughter would actually ask for, not fight.

Nobody was making that for children. So I decided to make it myself.

That is how ParaGone was born. A raspberry gummy, sweetened from real fruit with no processed sugar, built on a standardized sweet wormwood extract inside a full antiparasitic herb blend, dosed for kids three and up, third-party tested, and made in an FDA-registered facility.

CleanKids Lab grew out of one belief that I still lead with today. No parent should feel alone or ashamed for something this common, and no child should have to choke down something bitter to get gentle, thoughtful care.

I built ParaGone for my own daughter first. Now I get to build it for yours.

With care,
Beate
